Link 1: Bizarre Legal Thinking on Evolution and Creationism

Yet another Creationist tries to argue that schools should not teach "Evolutionism" since it is a religion. Interestingly, this one comes from the Chapman Law Review so it'll be fun when this budding lawyer tries it out in court.

Link 2: Christopher Hitchens wonders "Why are we so scared of offending Muslims?

Hitchens is good at shaking things up and making people think (sometimes for the first time).

"Why, then, should we be commanded to "respect" those who insist that they alone know something that is both unknowable and unfalsifiable? Something, furthermore, that can turn in an instant into a license for murder and rape? As one who has occasionally challenged Islamic propaganda in public and been told that I have thereby "insulted 1.5 billion Muslims," I can say what I suspect—which is that there is an unmistakable note of menace behind that claim."

Yet another judge seems to think its ok to promote his god in the public courts. Surprisingly, not everyone thinks this is a good idea... and not-surprisingly, the usual spectrum of fundies comes out as indignantly insulted by the idea that someone might have a problem with Jesus and the 10 Commandments showing up in court.
